A New World to Explore

Author's notes: Many people have been complaining where is the second part 
of  "A Blast from the Future' so I've taken that in consideration and written 
a sequel. Enjoy!

	Inside Acme Headquarters, the detectives were in a state of shock.

	"WHAT!" exclaimed Zack and Ivy.

	"Let me explain, you see I had a little trouble with my time machine. 
Instead of going twenty years into the future I only went five years. 
So when I got there. I discovered that the alien civilization did come
five years ago!" said Fiona in a sad tone.

	"What! So you're saying all our efforts were just a waste of 
time?!" exclaimed Ivy.

	"I'm afraid so. Here is even more bad news- Carmen Sandiego doesn't 
exist in the future and neither do you. Here is a newspaper report 
I've picked up in the library in the future," said Fiona handing an 
old newspaper clipping towards Zack. 

	Zack read the headline which said: "WORLD'S GREATEST THIEF CARMEN 
SANDIEGO MISSING AS WELL AS FOUR OTHER ACME DETECTIVES SINCE LAST WEEK!"

	"The date of this newspaper clipping is missing. Only the year is 
left and it's this year," said Zack after he finished.

	"Well, then who is the greatest thief in the future?" inquired Ivy.

	"Someone called, Lee Jordan," replied Fiona.

	"WHAT!!!!! I'll catch him!" exclaimed Ivy as Zack tried to 
hold her back.

	"You know him?" asked Fiona.

	"Know him? I'll probably kill him if I ever seen him again!" exclaimed 
Ivy with a fierce tone.

	"She had some relationship problems with him," whispered Zack.

	"I heard that Zack, and that's not true," said Ivy in a huff.

	"Anyway I finally got that silly time machine working, so I went 
forward into my time and here is the other bad news. Nobody sent any time 
capsule or any information regarding about the future," said Fiona.

	"That means you can't go back into the past, right?" asked Zack. 

	"Yep, because the time machine data prints were in the time capsule. 
No time capsule, no time machine. I quickly went back to this time. I 
assume since I was time travelling so much I didn't get affected by the 
time warp," said Fiona.

	"Is your arm still metal?" asked Ivy.

	"Yes...," said Fiona with a heavy sigh.

	"Let's plan our moves. First of all, we got to find out why we 
disappeared like the news paper said. Then, we gotta figure out who invited 
the alien civilization to come in and what happened to Carmen's time capsule 
and I guess...that's about all," said Zack. 

	"By the way Zack, they're called Tappers," said Fiona.

	"Tappers?" asked Zack looking a bit bewildered.

	"The alien civilization is called Tappers," replied Fiona smiling.

	"Ok, I'll contact Tatyanna, Josha and Carmen for an urgent meeting. 
I hope that the Chief will approve of this," said Ivy as she tried to contact 
Tatyanna using ACME's mainframe. Suddenly the Chief appeared. 

	"What's this approving business about?" asked the Chief.

	"We want to request that Carmen be allowed unto ACME's property," 
said Ivy.

	"WHAT are you talking about? She is on ACME's top list and you want 
to call her?!" cried the Chief, a little bit too excited about this. 

	"Well Chief, all of humanity depends on this," continued Zack.

	"Well, I guess it's ok for just this once. But don't make this a 
habit and don't alert the media or other detectives," said the Chief 
looking a bit reluctant.

	After everyone was present at Acme Headquaters, Fiona quickly 
explained to Carmen, Tatyanna and Josha what she told Zack and Ivy earlier 
on. Meanwhile, Zack and Ivy made their plans.

	"I don't understand how we disappeared," said Ivy. 

	"Maybe we were killed or something like that. So we must be very 
careful now," said Zack fear was in his tone.

	"Zack, Ivy I've told Carmen and the rest what happened," said Fiona, 
out of breath. 

	"Anyway I suggest we monitor every thing Roy does. I think he 
is most likely the one behind this," said Carmen. 

	"Me too," Tatyanna added. 

	"Anyway, my time machine doesn't exist anymore. So we only got 
one chance on this," said Fiona.

	"Don't worry Fiona, we got Carmen's time machine and the Chornoskimmer.
Hey look, the newspaper has arrived," said Josha. He quickly went and picked 
it up. And what a shocking headline it said!  Josha read it out loud, "ACME 
DETECTIVES AND CARMEN DISAPPEARED! MISSING SINCE LAST WEEK. LAST SEEN AT 
STONEHENDGE."

	"If we disappeared one week ago why are we still her-"  Zack began,
but he couldn't finish his sentence because his fingers started to 
disappear! "Yikes! What's happening?" asked Zack as his fingers 
were slowly disappearing. 

	"Mine are disappearing too!" exclaimed Tatyanna.

	In fact all of their fingers were disappearing except for Fiona's.

	"I think someone has tampered with the time-line. Fiona 
shouldn't be affected since she is from the future," said Carmen.

	"Fiona, you got to set the Chornoskimmer to last week at Stonehendge!" 
shouted Josha. His hands were all ready gone.

	"I don't understand," said Ivy.

	"No time to explain. Tell me how to work the Chornoskimmer," 
said Fiona as she grabbed for the Chornoskimmer that was on top of the table.

	"Just set the time and place," said Zack. He and the 
rest of them were disappearing fast!

	"Ok, got it!" exclaimed Fiona as she pressed the button.

	Everyone landed safely in front of a hedge at Stonehendge.  It was
now last week.

	"Hey I'm back to normal!" exclaimed Zack. So was everyone else.

	"Well now that we're back here, what are we suppose to do?" 
asked Josha.

	"I think we should look for Roy. He'll provide all 
the answers," said Carmen.

	"Agreed!" said everyone.

	"Wait, here are a few time travelling rules you MUST follow.
a.  Don't meet your past self what ever you do
b.  Try not to change the past too much and I guess that's about 
all," said Fiona. 

	Suddenly a bright flash appeared behind them. The past detectives appeared!

	As the past detectives were talking about Tatyanna and Fiona, 
the future detectives were planning their moves.

	"Ok, so our past selves are here. What do we do?" asked Josha.	

	"Well, for starters I guess we climb up the Twin Towers stairs 
and pay a visit to Roy," said Ivy as she pointed towards the Twin Towers.

	"Good idea, sis," said Zack.

	"The door's locked," said Tatyanna.

	"We'll just kick it open," said Ivy as she bashed the door down.

	"Good work Ivy," said Josha blushing.

	"Well, we climbed the window the last time. So now we'll 
take the stairs," said Carmen as she climbed the stairs first.

	"Ok everyone go in front of me. I'm going to make sure no henchmen 
will come and chase us," said Ivy.

	The detectives started to climb up the stairs. Fiona was 
behind Ivy.  She stopped suddenly Fiona stopped.

	"What's wrong Fiona?" asked Ivy alarmed.

	"Ummm, nothing Ivy. I just left something at the bottom of the 
stairs. I'll get it. You go first," said Fiona as she climbed down the stairs. 

	"Ok Fiona, if that's what you want..." said Ivy very puzzled.

	"What floor is it Carmen?" asked Zack panting.

	"The 26th Floor," said Carmen.

	"WHAT?  26th!!!!" said Zack he looked faint at that 
point of time.

	"Cheer up Zack, We only got 17 floors to go" said Tatyanna smiling 
towards him.

	After finally reaching the 26th floor, Zack said, "After this I 
don't need to exercise anymore."  He was pooped out.

	This time the door wasn't locked. The detectives opened the door slightly 
and saw Roy guarding it.

	"Roy doesn't know I'm from the future, so he'll think I'm the past 
Carmen. I'll lead him into the room opposite this one. When I give the signal,
come into the room, ok? After that I'll switch off the lights. Get ready 
some rope. Understand?" asked Carmen.

	"Yep and it's a great plan Carmen," said Fiona.

	Carmen walked out of the door and she went towards Roy. 
"Roy, I want to talk to you in other room, please," said Carmen. She 
opened the door first and switched on the lights and let Roy go in. She 
signalled for the detectives to go in the room after her. She quickly shut 
the lights. Sounds of struggling were heard. When Carmen switched on the 
lights, Roy was on top of Zack and Ivy was underneath Zack. Tatyanna and 
Josha were lying on the floor while Fiona was near Carmen, apparently 
unhurt. When Carmen saw this she slapped her forehead in astonishment. 
"Oh no," said Carmen as she switched of the lights again. This time in the 
darkness someone pushed Carmen out of the door. She went flying out the door 
and landed on the opposite door. 

	"What going on Roy?" asked the past Carmen as she opened the door. 
The past Carmen was staring at the future Carmen with astonishment. "Who 
are you?"  she asked. 

	"You're going to find out soon" said the future Carmen. Both 
Carmens merged bodies and became one 

	"Carmen? Carmen?" a faint voice was heard from the other room. Soon 
the past Ivy, Zack, Tatyanna and Joshua came out of the room and saw their 
future selves. They all merged back as one. 

	"I got you all where I wanted. Now I can get rid of all of you," 
said Roy as he showed a gadget towards Carmen. The gadget sucked Carmen into it. 
It also sucked Zack, Ivy, Tatyanna and Joshua. Fiona was right behind Joshua and 
Tatyanna trying to run away when her right hand was caught on to Tatyanna's blouse
and she was also sucked in. "NO!! You aren't suppose to be in the gadget!" said 
Roy but it was too late it was clear that Fiona had disappeared with the rest of 
them. "Doesn't matter. Head boss won't mine. Our plan will still work," 
said Roy as he threw the gadget into the waste paper basket.

	Fiona immediately opened her eyes. She looked at her surrounding area. 
It was a lush, green realm, She couldn't find an modern buildings or monuments. 
It seems as thought they has just been teleported back to the a medieval era. 
They were standing in a flat area with bushes around them. 

	"What happened?" asked Tatyanna as she shook her head and tried to 
focus her eyes. Soon everyone else started waking up.

	"Where are we?" asked Carmen very surprised.

	"I think we are in the land of Yuban," said Fiona to everyone.

	"Yuban?" asked Zack.

	"Yuban is a realm that is totally magical. Nothing scientific 
existed here. I probably bet Merlin would have been happy here," 
continued Fiona.

	"Well, what can we expect for this realm?" asked Josha.

	"According to this book I read underground library in the future, 
this realm is exactly like our realm, There are 3 possible things about 
the people in this dimension. Like A. they could have the same features 
and same characters, B. Same feature but different characters, C. Totally 
different features and same characters. So I wouldn't be surprised if I 
saw two Tatyanna's or two Zack's" said Fiona.

	"Two Tatyanna's?" said Zack as he was thinking all the possible 
things he could do with two Tatyanna's. 

	"Stop thinking nonsense," said Fiona as she gave a 
whack on Zack's head.

	"Ouch that hurts. How did she know?" said Zack as he rubbed his head.

	"Oh, poor Zack, look now there's a bruise" said Tatyanna as she 
massaged Zack's head.

	"All because of a whack on the head, sheesh!" said Ivy as she 
rolled her eyes.

	"How are we-" but before Carmen could finish, a scream was heard 
on the other side of the bushes. 

	"We got to help that person," said Ivy as she jumped over the 
bushes. A bird-like animal was attacking a person who was lying on the 
floor, head-down. Ivy quickly sprang into action as she gave one of her 
flying kicks towards the animal. It avoided her attack and it was about to lift 
her when suddenly Fiona shot a laser beam towards the animal. The animal flew away 
as it saw the laser beam. "Thanks Fiona" said Ivy as she bent down towards the person. 
"Are you all rrriiiggghhhttt?" said Ivy as the ground beneath her was shaking.
The ground suddenly opened and Ivy and the person she saved fell into a hole. 
The hole quickly close up leaving no way for Ivy to escape! 

	"IVY!!!!" shouted Zack as he ran towards the area that Ivy was.

	"Sand-Hog get digging equipment out and fast!" commanded Josha. Josha 
and Zack started digging the ground. They dug far into the ground but they 
couldn't find any trace of Ivy.

	"I can't believe it. She's actually gone- my sister- IVY!!!" 
shouted Zack as he fell to the ground in agony. Josha face was also shocked. 
The lady that stole his heart was gone. He didn't have a chance to say he loved her.

	"Don't worry Zack, I'm sure Ivy can take care of herself," said 
Tatyanna as she tried to comfort Zack.

	"I don't think so," Carmen suddenly spoke up. She continued, 
"No one can survive being buried alive for more the one minute," said 
Carmen as her eyes filled with sadness. 

	Fiona simply covered her mouth in shock. Sadness in everyone's 
eyes on this tragic day...
