Carmen Movie Rumors
A basic rumor mill, that's for sure. It seems there will be a live action movie, though there are a few conflicting reports some say that either Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Lopez would play Carmen!
And Sandra or Jennifer as Carmen? Well...I will give them this much- they both could pull off a sort of Carmenesque look, but can either play a character that has shades of gray? (I'm hoping the script will have her like the cartoon incarnation rather than your standard villainess, which Carmen isn't).
But hey, maybe I'm being too tough on them, I don't know. Opinions on this are welcome.
Now, there is word that a script based on the animated series is being worked on, but I am not sure if this is true.
If you must know- yes, I am hoping that rumor is true though!

E. USLAN served as executive producers on Batman,
Batman Returns and Batman Forever and as producers on the
animated feature Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
Melniker and Uslan executive produced, with DIC Entertainment, the
Fox Network cartoon show Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?,
which was nominated for four Emmy Awards, including Best
Animated Series....
Currently, Melniker and Uslan are preparing an upcoming live-action feature film based on Carmen Sandiego with DIC Enterprises...
