Rita

Rita Moreno

Well, thanks to the Internet Movie Database, I have been able to gather some info on the voice of Carmen herself, Rita Moreno.

Rita was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on December 11, 1931. However, her birth name was, Rosita Dolores Alverio. (I did see a biography about her that told why she changed her name- if I can get notes on-line from it, I will.)

Also, a little trivia info here: Rita's favorite all time film is Citizen Kane. She's also the first person to win the four major entertainment awards: an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony and a Grammy.

To read an interview with Rita from the May 4, 1994 issue of the Chicago Tribune, click here .

Here is a filmography of some of her other works: (care of the Internet Movie Database , which now lists her as Carmen- woo hoo!) Also, I found another voice she did care of The Voice Actor Database and added that too.
